TENSION / About
About TENSION and our editorial policy
TENSION is a self-report pain and body-tension tracker for athletes. The app lets people paint an exact zone on a 3D body map, record intensity, save a session, review recurring zones, and keep a clearer history for later conversations.
Why we publish
Our articles help runners, lifters, cyclists, and other athletes understand what research can—and cannot—say about pain around sport, and what details may be useful to record across training sessions.
How articles are created
- We prefer original peer-reviewed studies, systematic reviews, and official data.
- We separate study design, reported findings, interpretation, uncertainty, and limitations.
- We preserve numerical context and link to the primary source.
- We add a practical tracking framework: exact zone, intensity, timing, recurrence, and relevant training context.
- We disclose publication and modified dates. Articles that have not received clinical review are labeled accordingly.
Authorship and corrections
Articles are published by TENSION. We do not invent medical reviewers, credentials, testimonials, or study results. If a qualified reviewer contributes in the future, their identity and role will be stated explicitly. Material corrections should update the modified date and be recorded in the publication log.
Important: TENSION is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, injury prediction, or return-to-sport clearance. Persistent, worsening, traumatic, neurological, or otherwise concerning symptoms require assessment by a qualified professional.
